Punjab Gramin Bank has come into existence on 12.09.2005 after the amalgamation of three erstwhile Regional Rural Banks of Punjab State namely, Kapurthala Firozpur Kshetriya Gramin Bank, Shivalik Kshetriya Gramin Bank & Gurdaspur Amritsar Kshetriya Gramin Vikas Bank. These RRBs were established under Sub-section (1) of Section 3 of Regional Rural Bank Act 1976 (21 of 1976) and GOI issued notification on 12.09.2005 for the amalgamation of these RRBs in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 23-A of the RRB Act, 1976 (21 of 1976).

1. POST : Officer Junior Management Scale –I Group-“A”
QUALIFICATION :
Bachelor Degree of a recognized University in any discipline or its equivalent, Preference will be given to the candidates having degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy; Proficiency in Punjabi is essential. Computer knowledge or awareness will be an added qualification.
2. POST : Office Assistants –Group-“B”
QUALIFICATION : Bachelor Degree or its equivalent of a recognized University in any discipline; Proficiency in Punjabi.
Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Skills

Candidates should download one of the Challan Formats (as applicable to them for the post applied for). After filling up the required information on the form, they should make payment of the fee applicable to them in any branch of either Punjab Gramin Bank or Punjab National Bank and should keep the ‘Candidate’s Copy’ of the Challan with receipt of fees duly acknowledged thereon, with them for producing the same at the time of written test alongwith the latest passport size photograph pasted on the Challan and signed across by the candidate. Candidate claiming fee concession should also enclose photocopy of the relevant category certificate, alongwith the Challan.
