NATIONAL POWER THERMAL INSTITUTE (NPTI) BANGALORE - TRAINING FOR T&D DEPARTMENT MAY 2011

WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN
Power Sector is continuously expanding sector. The amendment in the Indian Electricity Act, opened private sector participation in the Transmission & Distribution of Power. It has further created a large demand for the trained persons in Electrical Utilities. The main objective of the course is to create a technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the power companies in the area of Transmission & Distribution of Electrical Power. This is an Employment Oriented Program for those who desire to make a career in the power sector. On successfully undergoing this course the Graduate Engineers will find immense opportunities and preference in employment with various power companies.
 
ABOUT THE COURSE: This is a unique course of 26 weeks duration which will be conducted by Power Systems Training Institute (PSTI) under NPTI at Bangalore. The course content covers complete operation and maintenance of Power Transmission & Distribution Systems, as per the syllabus of Indian Electricity Rules (Rule-3) for Transmission & Distribution.
 
PLACEMENT: The previous trainees got placement in ABB, NDPL, L&T, BSES, Easun Reyrolle, KEC International, Adani Power, Torrant Power, Sterlite Industries, Enercon India Ltd, Jyoti Structures, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited, Switchgear & Control, PR&DC, JSPL, Consulting Engineering Services, Kalki Communications, etc. companies.

ELIGIBILITY: Bachelor of engineering or equivalent in “Electrical” or “Electrical & Electronics” or “Power engineering”.
 
AGE LIMIT : Maximum age limit as on 01/05/2011 is 30 years. No age limit for sponsored candidates.
 
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION: Percentage of marks obtained in the B.E. or equivalent examination as per University norms.
 
NO. OF SEATS : 60 (Sixty only). 25% seats are reserved for sponsored category. Reservation for SC, ST & OBC will be as per Govt. norms in the non-sponsored category.
 
FEES: Rs. 1,20,000/- for non-sponsored candidates Rs. 1,50,000/- for sponsored candidates
 
SPONSORED CANDIDATES: The candidates sponsored by employers if fulfilling eligibility requirement, will be admitted directly.
 
HOW TO APPLY
Application form alongwith prospectus can be obtained from the Institute by paying cash or on the following address by post sending A4 size self addressed envelope alongwith a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs. 500/- in favour of PSTI payable at Bangalore.

Download the Application form from our website and send it as directed in the application along with a crossed DD of Rs 500/- in favour of “PSTI, Bangalore” payable at Bangalore.
