Deputy Librarian
Pay Scale: Rs.23,890/- in PB-3 plus GP of Rs. 8,000/- (with HRA, TA and DA as presently applicable, the gross adds upto Rs. 59,364/-p.m.) After 5 years, PB-4 with AGP of Rs.9,000/-
Qualification:
Postgraduate degree in Library science/information science/documentation, with atleast 55% marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven points scale and a consistently good academic record.

Pay Scale: Rs. 80, 000/- per month (fixed) with usual allowances.
Nature of Post: Contractual basis
Duration: Period of 5 years or till the attainment of 70 years, whichever is earlier as per usual terms and conditions.
Age: Max 60 years.
Eligibility:
Director of an IIT, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to have proven administrative, teaching and research background (including significiant experience in research guidance at the Ph. D with leadership qualities. He should be a Ph. D with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with an outstanding record throughout and a minimum of 10 years experience as a Professor in a reputed educational Institute.

Selection:
The Director will be appointed after obtaining the approval of the Competent Authority based on the recommendations made by the Search-cum-Selection Committee.
